**Due to recent research into the effectiveness of the Flumist nasal spray vaccine, it has been determined by the CDC that there will be no Flumist available for the 2016-2017 flu season. In accordance with the CDC decision all participants will receive the flu vaccine via injection.
Please see the attached note from the CDC:
Note: For the 2016-2017 season, CDC recommends use of the flu shot (inactivated influenza vaccine or IIV) and the recombinant influenza vaccine (RIV). The nasal spray flu vaccine (live attenuated influenza vaccine or LAIV) should not be used during 2016-2017. The 2016-2017 influenza vaccination recommendations are now available.
