Flu Shots are free for USU-benefited Employees and their Eligible Dependents.

Clinic Checklist

Registration is required for all wishing to participate in the flu shot clinic. If you are sick or not feeling well, please stay home and do not attend the Flu Shot Clinic.

Important Changes to Registration for 2023
USU partners with the Bear River Health Department (BRHD) to provide flu shots for the Logan campus community. Registration for flu shots is handled through their system.

To help BRHD staff prepare for the event, pre-registration is required and must be completed by 11:59 pm on November 5, 2023.

BRHD has provided tutorials to help walk you through the registration process. (USU Wellness does not handle the registration system and cannot help you troubleshoot the process.)
If you have questions or need help with registration, please call BRHD at (435) 792-6500.

CDC Influenza Vaccine Information

We anticipate having a Flumist available at our Flu Shot Clinic for healthy individuals aged 2 years to 49 years.

All vaccines administered at the USU Flu Shot Clinic will be Quadrivalent. High dose Flu vaccines will be available for adults 65 years and older.

For the U.S. influenza season, CDC and its vaccines advisory committee (ACIP) recommend that providers use any licensed, age-appropriate influenza vaccine (Inactivated Influenza vaccines (IIV), Recombinant Influenza vaccine (RIV), or Live Attenuated Influenza vaccine (LAIV4) with no preference expressed for one vaccine over another. (LAIV4 is again a recommended option for people for whom it is otherwise appropriate.)

Can't make it to a flu shot clinic?

If you are unable to make it to one of the annual on campus flu shot clinics you may receive free flu shots for you and your dependents at any pharmacy within the Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Utah network. When visiting a pharmacy be sure to show your Regence insurance card. View a list of Regence Preferred Network pharmacies. Additionally, Bear River Health Department will be offering drive thru clinics on Monday evenings from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm until November 20, 2023.
